Unicode 15.0
Hey, we've got some cool updates for you again! First off, we're now using Unicode 15.0 emojis instead of 13.0, which means we've got a bunch of new emojis, and you can create even more fun puzzles now. And don't worry if your computer or phone doesn't support Unicode 15, because you'll still get emojis from an earlier standard that work perfectly fine. However, most phones should have no trouble handling the new Unicode 15 emojis. ππ

Secondly, solving becomes a bit easier when a rule isn't crystal clear. Take this little brain teaser, for instance:
Look here, an otter emoji. We need to swap out a "t," and that tiny number tells us which "t" in "otter" to switch to get the solution "other."
We added language support for Polish after our language survey showed that it was the most requested language! The survey is still open, so feel free to add any language you'd like to see supported here.
We got quite a number of requests for supporting new languages and started adding some of them: Norwegian, Portuguese and Turkish are now available. If you like other languages to be added as well, tell us here, and we'll see what we can do.
Easter egg: Add #zoo or #food to the input text to get a rebus with only animals or food.
The rebus engine has been completely revamped! We've pulled out all the computer science tricks to make the rebuses even better and faster. Better is hardly possible π. Try it out and you'll see.
βPerfection is achieved, not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to take away.β
β Antoine de Saint-ExupΓ©ry, Airman's Odyssey15 years ago today we started this Rebus site. As far as we know it was the first online rebus generator, now there are many π. To celebrate our 15th anniversary, we have two exciting pieces of news:
- Better results for long words: We dig even deeper to find the perfect images, and it's still super fast!
No more annoying ads! Maybe it will come back later, but rebus.club is ad-free for the time being π!!!

Today we have a special update: use the position of the characters in relation to each other. Sounds complicated, but is relatively easy. Take a look at the following example where characters are on top of each other, or inside each other:
The word here is "C on C er N in G", concerning. Another nice example is Constantinople.
Does this work with all character combinations, you might ask? No, training was done on the complete works of Shakespeare, so if he didn't write a word containing "XonY" we won't write it as a "X on Y rebus" either.
